    Thanks to DD from another forum for this one;

    George & Steven Soderbergh are producing, Buddy Rich's daughter is executive producing, and George's cousin, Miguel Ferrer, is rumoured to be playing Buddy. The script is still being worked on with production expected early 2003.

    And another thankyou to Cathy Rich for the latest update: "Miramax has signed on to be the studio, we are thrilled!! So it will be Section Eight, Miramax, and me producing. The script is being written, Colman DeKay is the writer. We are hoping for a first draft in the next month or so. There is no start date yet for shooting.

    If you check out some of those solo videos with Verdi playing high single strokes and blazing fast i think it's on the 1st solo video it's no joke what beats said. The guy goes around the drums like the hit team is chasing him. This dude has the best power single strokes i've seen since Rich. A lot of cats play finger stuff only with fast singles like Cobham and Marco but this dude can do both.

    I don't think Beats means Art as an actor he would be good for them to use on close up shots of just seeing Rich's hands.

    When they made the Krupa story Gene was alive and did all his own drumming. Sal Mineo made the motions and it stunk.

    I got to laugh on this one. Doing the motions on Krupa's drumming and doing the motions on Rich's drumming are not even close. Sal Mineo could never of imitated Rich like he did Krupa. Buddy did to many fast cross over things on the drums. Could you imagine Buddy dealing with Mineo to play his part? What would of happened???????????
